Helen Locke is a printmaker and art teacher based in Farnham, Surrey

Helen qualified to teach in 2003 and worked in FE for four years before moving to Surrey and volunteering at Ochre Print Studio. Inspired by her love of print she has taught printmaking workshops since 2014, she can deliver workshops in:

  • Gelli plate printing and collage- themes: owls and butterflies.

 

  • Drypoint with recycled packaging – themes: crowns, steampunk animals and bugs.

 

  • Screen printing onto paper and fabric (banners, aprons, drawstring bags and denim patches).

 

  • Heat transfer onto fabric (banners, tote bags, t-shirts, scarves and cushions.

 

Since 2018 Helen has been teaching drawing to adults in community settings and online (pencil, ink, charcoal and oil/chalk pastel) with sessions in watercolour and acrylic painting.
