Residency

Printmaking is my passion. In 2018 I was awarded a year long residency at Ochre Print Studio, the largest print workshop in the South East of England. I volunteered there in 2014 and have used the studio to expose screens for personal work and workshops. I focused on documenting everything that does on at the studio making a series of ‘narrative aprons’. They range from heat transferred, screen printed and sewn to a huge paper apron celebrating the drypoint process. The work was exhibited at Woking’s Lightbox in February 2019 and at the Robert Phillips Gallery, Riverhouse Barn during Open Studios. I also worked with the volunteers at the Community Café to print aprons with them!

I have regularly taught sessions in printmaking for Activate Learning in Guildford, and with UCA Outreach. I will be teaching Art in a secondary school setting from September 2023 and I plan to keep inspiring people young and less young to draw, print and make a mess in the future.
